Blahaj Studio acts as the manufacturer and distributor of your design. We handle manufacturing, compliance, distribution, and liability. You just license your design to us, we handle the rest and you do what you do best: designing.
We Handle Everything

- Manufacturing
We manage the factory relationships and quality control for your hardware. No matter the scale and even for exotic or unusual requirements.
- Distribution
Warehousing, logistics, and shipping. We handle the physical delivery to customers or retail partners as well as customs and VAT.
- Compliance
We take care of certification and labelling requirements, recycling schemes and everything else needed to sell your design legally.
- Liability & Warranty
As the legal manufacturer, we are responsible for warranty claims and product liability. You are fully protected from legal claims from customers.
- Technology Licensing
Blahaj Studio is a licensee of various technologies, such as Bluetooth, Apple MFi and Apple Proximity Pairing. We can also arrange for other licensing.
- Numbering
Need USB Product IDs, MAC Addresses, IMEI Numbers or other identifiers? We are able to allocate these and more for your designs.
- Servers and Connectivity
A product requires server infrastructure or cellular connectivity? With Blahaj Cloud and a partnership with a major global carrier, we got that covered.
- Driver Signing
Your project requires signed drivers or companion software? We can EV sign drivers and are a member of the Windows Hardware Partner Program.

- What exactly is the legal arrangement?
- You grant us a license to manufacture and distribute the specific product designs we agree to work on together. The product is legally ours (this is how we can assume all legal responsibilities and liabilities), but you retain ownership of the underlying design.
- Can I stop working with you at any time?
- You can terminate our license at any time, however we will be entitled to sell any remaining inventory. We will not manufacture any further units upon termination of the agreement.
- How do I get paid?
- You receive a percentage of the profits from the sale of your designs. We will pay you regularly, usually every 30 days.
- Which legal and tax obligations do I have?
- We are not accountants and do not know the laws of every country. For German makers, we believe that you need to register as a freelancer ("Freiberufler") with your local tax authority, but do not require a sole proprietorship ("Gewerbe"). We are not liable for this advice however.
- How will the products be branded
- In order to meet legal regulations, such as WEEE, the products need to be branded under the Blahaj Studio brand, however co-branding is possible (for with a "designed" by suffix). In exceptional cases, we may also be able to establish a dedicated brand for you.
- At what stage can I reach out?
- No matter if you have a complete design or just an idea, we are here to help. Reaching out early can allow us to help you make your design well manufacturable and improve your chances of acceptance.
